Sharing a tin of popcorn has always been a Smith Family tradition. It is the perfect snack for Fourth of July fireworks at the beach, watching football on Thanksgiving, or playing cards after a big holiday dinner. Family gatherings were more memorable with a tin on the table.
Smith Family Popcorn started as a labor of love by Dan and Kim Smith. Years were spent perfecting recipes in their one-room apartment, and each flavor was handmade in small batches to ensure quality. They began sharing their popcorn creations at events with friends. Quickly, the Smith tradition of gourmet popcorn spread, and requests for special orders came pouring in.
The family decided there was no better place to open a shop than home, Cape Cod, MA. Smith Family Popcorn’s mission is to bring friends and families together, while also having a positive impact on the community. We still hand-make our popcorn in small batches and always share a portion of each sale with local charities. Our slogan, “Good People, Great Popcorn,” is not only about the Smith Family, but more importantly the like-minded community we strive to create.
